Preparation & Aftercare
For best results and faster recovery, please take note of the following:
- Avoid the use of exfoliating products at least a week prior to your chemical peel session
- Stop using any anti-aging or anti-acne medication as this may affect how your skin reacts to the peel
- Schedule you chemical peeling away from any important event as your skin will need time to recover after the procedure
- Avoid facial waxing or shaving
- Limit direct sun exposure before and after the chemical peel session
Chemical peeling involves topically applying strong chemicals to your face. Please note that you may also experience the following after your session, all of which are considered normal for the next 3-5 days:
- Redness
- Tingling and itching
- Skin is warm to the touch
- Peeling
- Tight skin
It is important to avoid direct sunlight to the treated area as it will be very sensitive. Maintain skin hydration by drinking water and applying an SPF-based moisturizer. Refrain from using retinol or glycolic acid products for at least 1 week after the procedure.
